Questions
What exactly happens on August 26, 2026?
Shopify permanently disables the Additional Scripts box on the Thank You and Order Status pages for all non-Plus stores. Any tracking code there stops executing. There is no error, no fallback and no extension of the deadline.
Does PixelWard see my customer data?
No. Script conversion happens on your pasted code, not your orders. The health monitor receives only an event name and an anonymous shop token — never customer information.
What if my script can't be auto-converted?
Some scripts rely on DOM access or Liquid variables that don't exist in the Custom Pixel sandbox. PixelWard flags these precisely, and hand-building a replacement pixel for you is included in the plan.
I'm on Shopify Plus. Do I need this?
Plus stores on checkout.liquid keep Additional Scripts slightly longer than the August 26, 2026 cutoff for non-Plus stores, but Shopify is retiring checkout.liquid for everyone — the same migration is coming for Plus too. The health monitor is just as useful on Plus today.
